I once veered off a wrong path while hiking in the boreal forest and ended up in the middle of the swamps. Through getting lost and bashing through the bushes, I accidentally emerged at one of the most beautiful places I’ve seen.
I’m an explorer at heart. When faced with a complex situation, a tangled mess or seemingly dead-end, I keep an open mind, explore beyond the road and find an alternative path. The same parallels can be pulled during the research phase in the UX process, where I learn to keep a completely open mind when speaking to users and allow for all possibilities. Only then, can we find the answers that truly matter.
My background in mechanical engineering has also helped me in deconstructing complicated problems, analysing and coming up with multiple solutions. I’m thrilled by complex, multi-faceted tasks and thrive in dynamic environments with few routines. I also feel energised to be able to work in an open team where ideas can flow and be shared easily.
